NOW we need the State Senate to do likewise! Contact YOUR
state senator. Urge him or her to support Senate approval
for the Local Choice/Local Option bills.
The senate will vote very soon on Senator Franklin's bill, SSB5278.
Overall, we want approval of Local Choice/Local Option, this
year!
The bill is NOT a mandate - only permission. No state funds are
involved. And, any local program must be approved in a referendum
to local voters.
Note to WashClean supporters:
If possible, we would like to avoid the bill having to go back
to the House, to adjust any minor differences in language. We
don't want to risk losing a win, or unravelling of success, because
of minor differences in bill language between the Senate and the
House.
